Rosie & Jim have sponsored the Meat Products Category in the Coeliac Society of Ireland Food List 2021!

Check out our full list of Gluten Free Products on page 142 of this invaluable guide.

Coeliac Society of Ireland Food List 2021

Each year the Coeliac Society produces a “List of Gluten-Free Manufactured Products”, also referred to as the “Food List”.

The Food List is compiled in accordance with current EC legislation. The booklet also features “own brand” products that are “gluten-free” from some of the main supermarket chains. If you are a coeliac and eat any processed foods, a current Food List is a valuable resource in selecting food.

Many people are confused by allergen labelling and the more recent EC Gluten-free Labelling Legislation. Members are turning to the Food List for reassurance about what is safe to eat.

Congratulations again to Fiona Staunton and her nominated charity Aoibheann's Pink Tie on winning €1000 donation from Rosie & Jim.

Here's Tracey delivering the HUGE cheque!

Aoibheann's Pink Tie

Aoibheann’s Pink Tie “National Children’s Cancer Charity” was set up in 2010 by Mick Rochford and Jimmy Norman after the tragic loss of Jimmy’s daughter Aoibheann to cancer aged just 8 years. During Aoibheann’s year long battle with this dreadful disease, the family found little or no financial or practical support  for children and their families.

Jimmy and his family had a large support network of friends and family but found that many on the ward had virtually no support at all.

When Aoibheann passed away the men wore pink ties at the funeral which was Aoibheann’s favourite colour. The charity was formed in her memory to remedy the lack of support for other children and their families going through treatment.

Thanks so much to the lovely person who sent us this message who preferred to remain anon.

"As a coeliac, I've found your products to be somewhat life changing in terms of diet and what can be physically eaten readily. This may go unnoticed but I’ll say it anyway, thank you to your entire company for their hard work in developing a gluten free range and continuing to release new products."

We just want to say thanks right back to you.

It means a lot to us to know our products have been a positive in your life. heart

Rosie & Jim are humbled and thrilled to Make-A-Wish come true for Liam.

Thanks to Irene of Make-A-Wish for sending on this lovely letter.

Liam, age 7, from Galway, lives with a number of medical conditions including chronic lung disease, a metabolic condition called PKU and has an amputated leg. He wished for his own special garden that combines his two big loves – the outdoors and trains. The garden was specially designed to suit Liam’s needs and includes soft play surfaces, planting and landscape features to stimulate the senses, as well as a beautiful train for Liam to climb into and call his own! Liam’s dream of his own peaceful, accessible garden is now a reality thanks to the commitment and generosity of his friends, neighbours, the local business community and of course sponsorship from Rosie & Jim.

Liam’s Mum, Louise, said, “Liam was in hospital until he was four years old and since coming home he just loves playing outside and visiting his local train station to watch the trains come and go. It is truly amazing to have such a perfect place for Liam to call his own and enjoy. The surfaces are perfect for crawling on and he just loves having his very own train!”

Many thanks again for your sponsorship of Liam and Danielle’s wishes – I can guarantee you that the legacy of both will live on for a long time and bring joy and happiness to the lives of these very special children.

Best wishes,

Irene
