We really enjoyed this years Coeliac Society of Ireland Gluten Free Show in association with SuperValu.

Huge crowds all eager to see what was new in the Gluten Free world of products and information attended the show in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry.

From demos to talks and lots and lots of sampling it's a fantastic resource for families who need to cook gluten free.

Here's Joe Mcloughlin of Rose & Jim taking care of business at Saturdays show.

Rosie & Jim are very pleased to donate €200 to the Portarlington GAA Club fundraiser this year.

The Club have come up with a fantastic major fundraiser event this year - introducing The 20K Drop!

Check out their impressive video to find out more!

Rosie & Jim sponsored €750 for the The Ronald McDonald House Charities cycling jersey.

They were planning an annual cycle around Blessington Lakes on April 25th but this fundraising event sadly had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. So they have come up with a new plan - for May!

Cycle 60km during the month of May, in your own area and when suits you to help continue to care for our families at this unique time. It costs us €60.00 per night per family, and by registering you will be providing a family a home for the night when they need it the most.  Register online on Giv2Go for €60.00. Receive the bespoke Ronald McDonald cycle jersey. Keep one family close to their seriously sick child for one night. Cycle apart and come together for Ronald McDonald House.

Find out more about this on the RMHC website - https://rmhc.ie/events/charity-cycle4families-2020/

This is a hugely important fundraiser as they continue to raise funds for their New House alongside the New Children’s Hospital.

Check out the fab jerseys with Rosie & Jim logo! We're sure they'll get plenty of use once the restrictions are lifted :)

Congratulations to St Paul's GAA in their great victory over Ballyroan in the U16 County Final on Saturday!

Well done to the management of Eamonn O'Connell, Sean McLoughlin, David Greene and Dan Lutterel.

Rosie & Jim were delighted to sponsored the half zips for the team!

Rosie & Jim are pleased to donate £100 to Eamon McCay, Managing Director of Frylite, one of our suppliers, as he marks World Homeless Day by sleeping out overnight in Strabane .

Mr McCay writes...

...on Saturday 13th October, I'm marking World Homeless Day by sleeping out overnight in Strabane. By doing this, I hope to raise awareness of homelessness and much needed funds for our chosen charities throughout Ireland.

Almost 10,000 people described themselves as homeless in Ireland this year. That includes men, women, couples and families. These are staggering figures, but the most important message is that we can all help.

You don't have to sleep out to help. €15 feeds a whole family for 2 days. £50 helps parents to learn new skills that will help them work their way out of homelessness while meeting their children's needs.

£100 helps keep families safe and warm during the cold winter months when the heating needs to be turned up for babies and children.

Best of luck to all taking part in this fundraising event.

Rosie & Jim are thrilled to announce we have won the Innovation Award at the FreeFrom Food Awards 2020!

Our Southern Fried Fillets won Gold in Kids Choice; Our Battered Chunks won Gold in Parents Choice AND our the Rosie & Jim Gluten Free Range have won the Innovation Award!

Thanks to everyone at FreeFrom Food Awards who provide a fantastic service for all the Free From consumers in Ireland.

The 5th FreeFrom Food Awards Ireland 2020 took place on Thursday 8th October, with the eagerly awaited announcements made virtually, following pandemic related delays. “We are delighted to get the news out to our winners, ahead of the Christmas shopping season,” says John Burke, founder of the FreeFrom Food Awards Ireland. “Finally those that have won awards can proudly display them, helping freefrom consumers to pick the best quality products available to them.”

Over 500 entries were judged both before and after lockdown, with fully socially distanced panel sessions completing the process in July. The Awards ceremony was due to take place live within the government guidelines until the recent changes resulted in the event taking place online. “We’re all missing the opportunity to meet up and see judges, entrants and friends,” says Burke. “But most importantly entrants have been waiting patiently to find out who has won what and to show their customers how well their products measure up in this growing market.

Congratulations again to Fiona Staunton and her nominated charity Aoibheann's Pink Tie on winning €1000 donation from Rosie & Jim.

Here's Tracey delivering the HUGE cheque!

Aoibheann's Pink Tie

Aoibheann’s Pink Tie “National Children’s Cancer Charity” was set up in 2010 by Mick Rochford and Jimmy Norman after the tragic loss of Jimmy’s daughter Aoibheann to cancer aged just 8 years. During Aoibheann’s year long battle with this dreadful disease, the family found little or no financial or practical support  for children and their families.

Jimmy and his family had a large support network of friends and family but found that many on the ward had virtually no support at all.

When Aoibheann passed away the men wore pink ties at the funeral which was Aoibheann’s favourite colour. The charity was formed in her memory to remedy the lack of support for other children and their families going through treatment.
