As you can see, Hank is growing into a handsome young man for sure. He is great with other animals and takes his role at the allotment Bernadette and her husband have very seriously indeed :)

Champ has been busy over the last few months.  At the Botanical Gardens in June. Lunch at Skerries Mills in July. Coffee on the pier in Howth in Aug. He's loving life!

We're delighted that Champ, Izzy and Hank are all really going well in their training and likely to make their way to Cork for formal training in late September or early October.

Izzy - Guide Dog for the Blind - Glendalough September 2019

Izzy is in great form and was on a spot of sightseeing locally last weekend in Glendalough.

Emma, her puppy raiser, is delighted with progress to date as their time together shortens.

Champ with his puppy raiser, Kathy and some adorable photos of him with her grandkids.

These are the last few weeks that Kathy and Champ are together as he will head to HQ in Cork soon for formal training.

It must be very difficult to say goodbye to such a gorgeous dog. Well done on raising a fabulous puppy Kathy!

Champ

Champ has been moved to the Guide Dog Programme and away from the Assistance Dog programme (for a child with autism) because of the strong levels of confidence he has begun to display! He's making excellent progress and he is displaying all the rights traits to be good Guide Dog. Well done Champ! We're proud of you :)

Champ

It’s hard to believe that two years have come to an end but we are thrilled that the support we have given to Irish Guide Dogs now has a happy ending for all.

We are delighted to report the outcome of the 3 pups we sponsored back at the end of 2018 have had the following results:

Izzy – is now a Guide Dog with a lady in Cork

Champ – is now a Guide Dog with a gentleman in Louth

Hank – is now an Assistance Dog for a family in Cork who’s son has autism. He has been in training with them since last month.

Amazing! Well done to the Team of raisers and trainers at Irish Guide Dogs!
