Thanks to Kathy, Champ's minder for taking these wonderful photos of Champ. He had the company of another puppy, Orbit, in training recently. How cute are they together?!

His training going very well.  He is excellent in the house apart from waking up too early! He is walking very well, stops a bit to check things out but quickly continues on.  His recall is very good.

He is growing into a fine handsome dog and loves his free runs away from the training.

Champ has been busy over the last few months.  At the Botanical Gardens in June. Lunch at Skerries Mills in July. Coffee on the pier in Howth in Aug. He's loving life!

We're delighted that Champ, Izzy and Hank are all really going well in their training and likely to make their way to Cork for formal training in late September or early October.

These are the last few weeks that Kathy and Champ are together as he will head to HQ in Cork soon for formal training.

It must be very difficult to say goodbye to such a gorgeous dog. Well done on raising a fabulous puppy Kathy!

Champ has been moved to the Guide Dog Programme and away from the Assistance Dog programme (for a child with autism) because of the strong levels of confidence he has begun to display! He's making excellent progress and he is displaying all the rights traits to be good Guide Dog. Well done Champ! We're proud of you :)

What they did next. A little update on our sponsored Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. We're proud to say...

Izzy (middle) is a Guide Dog based in Cork and

Champ (right) is a Guide Dog based in County Louth.

We're so pleased to be sponsoring such a life changing charity.

So pleased in fact that we are going to sponsor 3 more puppies this year!

Watch this space for full announcement (and cute photos!) very soon.

Kathy - Puppy Raiser

Meet Champ and his puppy raiser, Kathy!

Champ is settling in to lovely Howth and is enjoying being beside the sea, which he loves.

Kathy is going through early socialisation training with Champ at the moment and introducing him slowly to more and more crowded public spaces. She will work continuously with her dedicated puppy raising supervisor now to gauge Champ’s reactions to certain situations and how he is settling in at home with Kathy.

Kathy is an experienced raiser and supporter of Irish Guide Dogs.

Photos of Champ - he's growing fast!
